About

Welcome!

Crazy Quilters was formed in 1993 by a small group of local women who wanted a guild that met in the evenings. We have grown through the years and are supportive of the community with charitable donations. Our group includes novice quilters and experienced artists with a wide variety of talents and ideas. We welcome all interested persons to join.

Crazy Quilters meets monthly on the third Thursday of the month, at the Gus Canty Community Center, 790 Main Street, Falmouth, MA. Doors open at 6:00, the meeting starts at 6:30. PM.  Early arrival is encouraged to chat with friends or to check out the library as we need to be out of the building by 9:00 PM. Occasionally, meeting times and dates are changed and will be announced ahead of time in the newsletter. Members may participate in lectures, workshops, demonstrations and other group activities.

Charitable activities include making and donating comfort quilts to organizations in need and Santa sacks for Children’s Cove Child Advocacy Center. We also raise funds to support the Falmouth Service Center Backpack Program for Falmouth students, the Gus Canty Community Center, our home base, and other charitable causes. We are recognized as a 501(c)(3) by the Internal Revenue Service.

Due to Covid, we continue to offer hybrid meetings virtually and in-person. Masks may be worn for those who feel uncomfortable or vulnerable.
